Taxation is the most important part of business structuring in India. We practice in the Direct as well as Indirect Taxation matter. We advise clients in structuring their business transactions with a tax planning model, advising them on income tax as well as other tax implications and applicability's. We also provide legal solutions to the clients on international taxation, transfer pricing, custom tax, excise tax, professional tax etc. The following are our tax practice:

  • Drafting tax related provisions in various offer documents, such as for international or domestic offerings
  • Rendering advisory service to the clients on various issues relating to specified tax areas and for specific industry e.g. taxation of engineering, construction, mining, energy, e-commerce insurance etc.

Indirect Taxation

We advises clients across a wide spectrum of indirect taxation laws, rules and regulations relating to indirect taxation e.g excise, customs, service tax, value added tax / central sales tax and goods and service tax. We advise and do procedural work for the clients. Our practice areas includes:
  • Advisory on classification of goods under Excise & Customs Tariffs;
  • Rendering advisory services for claiming various exemptions & concessions under indirect tax laws
  • Determining arm's length price in case import transactions are between related group entities;
  • Levy of anti-dumping and safeguards duties both for & against;
  • Availing of various export incentives under the Foreign Trade Policy;
  • Advisory on deciding tax liability for Service Tax under national and international agreements entered with group companies and other service providers; and
  • Advising and executing Sales tax and VAT implications
Appearing before various tax authorities including Customs, Excise & Service Tax Appellate Tribunal ('CESTAT'), State VAT Tribunals, the High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.
